Cheating Death

Just a little car wreck involving a fully loaded cement truck coming down the I-40 ramp westbound at Rio Grande.  Hit the Honda behind me and it hit me throwing me into the intersection.

I got the young lady out of her car.  Thank fate she did not have a baby in the back seat. We both really had our bell rung but declined hospital e.r. drama.  We both left pretty sore.

We were at a stop light.  He didn't stop.  Don't know why.  Cheated death again.

Her rear windshield is stuck in his grill.  My Highlander needs a new rear bumper.  She will get a new car at least.

The owner of the concrete company came to the scene.  He never asked about our well being.  He was just concerned about his truck.

Jim, clinical massage for trauma (especially car wrecks) is my specialty. Even though you didn't go to the ER, you need to get checked out medically by somebody who will take their time examining you, a trusted PCP or chiropractor by preference. Given your description, you'll almost certainly need some kind of therapy to recover well from this accident.

However, there are a few things you can do right now. First, get some Traumeel (drops or tablets) and start taking immediately to prevent further swelling and inflammation. Also, use Traumeel ointment or gel on the affected sore spots. Use both the internal and external remedies every 5 or 10 minutes for the first hour, then 4-6 x per day. Let the pain be your guide. When you notice the pain, use Traumeel!

My car wreck clients who use Traumeel religiously recover in half the time.

You can also ice the sore areas and after a couple of days a hot bath with plenty of Epsom salts is also appropriate. Use plenty of Epsom salts, though. At least a pound per bath. Otherwise you risk exacerbating the swelling.

You have some options regarding treatment. I'd be happy to discuss them with you.

Which God would that be? The one who caused the accident or the one who wants the victims to thank him. The thought is nice but is meaningless in the scheme of things. I saw an article where someone said god was watching out for some baby ducks crossing a road. What idiocy.
