We had an easy flight into Rio after a late flight into Atlanta. We took a bus tour while waiting to embark on the Veendam. This is Ipanema Beach. It is hot here and we will leave in a few hours to start visiting historic towns all the way down to Buenos Aires. More tomorrow!

Jim thank you so much for sharing your memories and pictures. If was wonderful having you both a table mates during our cruise. Our flight home was overbooked so we decided to take up US Airways generous offer of putting us up in a hotel in Centro and giving each of us a $500 credit towards future travel. We love Rio so it was an easy decision to stay behind.
